San Luis Potosi…where the beer selection is much better!!!

One of the great things about living in San Luis Potosi (compared to Salina Cruz) is the variety of beer that is available.  My absolute favorite Mexican beer (which is not exported) is Bohemia (available in both “classic”and “dark” versions.)

Bohemia Beer...like John Labatt Classic with a Mexcian accent.

It’s made by Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma (FEMSA) which used to be partially owned by Labatt.   (hmmm..a big brewery in Mexico continues to produce a premium beer in a brown bottle with a gold foil top and calls it “classic”  while a big brewery in Canada kills off the same and replaces it with Brahma–hmmm which country is more civilized???)

Back in Mexico…life is returning to normal…

After seven months in Canada, we returned to Mexico at the beginning of April.

However, I’m not longer “el guero en el Istmo”…as we are now living in San Luis Potosi (SLP) in north/central Mexico (about 1300km from Salina Cruz/Tehuantepec.)

Although it’s the same country, same flag, same currency, and the same language–it’s very different here (both in good ways and not so good ways.)

Also our circumstances are now different–as I’m working full-time (unfortunately I’m no longer the “economic dependent/amo de casa” and Danielle is taking care of the household stuff (and unfortunately she is still learning how to bbq with charcoal..)

I’ll be posting my first real entry from SLP later today….
